Wild Card Wednesday: Track Star

Even though I have never been particularly athletic, I have liked the track pants trend for a really long time.  I love the look of vintage-style track pants, and I think the modern twist of pairing them with heels, blazers, and other non-traditional pieces makes them feel new and interesting.
I had been eyeing this pair from the Who What Wear x Target line for quite a while.  I’m not sure why, but I just never could bite the bullet and try these, even though I kept going back to them over and over.  Finally, I decided just to give them a go.  I ordered an XL in straight sizing, but think I could have probably sized down to a large as the pants have plenty of wiggle room.  For reference, I’m normally a 14 on bottom. These pants are sooooo comfortable, and I just love the style.  I had them hemmed of course, and I had the side slits put back into the legs to allow a vent for shoes.

For today’s styling, I decided to give them more of a going-out feel by pairing them with a crop top, moto jacket, and strappy heels.  The ELOQUII jacket I’m wearing here is a great match with these pants.
I finished the look with a roomy clutch, and I’m ready to hit the town!  😀
Have you tried track pants?  Would you style them with heels or stick to sneakers?

  1. Sporty meets chic. Surely the jacket and the sandals (and maybe the cropped top too) don’t necessarily scream sporty, but they are a bit unusual touches that come together to make a great outfit. Great style job here!
