For many of us, it’s a short work week. For me, it’s extra short as I’m taking off Friday for a weekend trip. This summer is going to be super busy as I have a long trial coming up at work, so I want to get in a little fun before all the long hours. Because all work and no play definitely makes Cassie a dull girl!
Let me tell you a little about today’s look. I am OBSESSED with this dress! I can’t resist a slip dress, and this one is just lovely. With the A-line skirt, lace trim, front slit and satiny fabric, it is slinky slip dress perfection!
I wore this ELOQUII slip dress recently for a rooftop fashion presentation by St. Louis’ Honey’s Child Boutique. I went with strappy black sandals and added fun pops of color with a pale green jade bracelet, a cobalt clutch, and a poppy red mani/pedi.
Honey’s Child Boutique’s Crazy.Sexy.Curves Live LookBook was held the Sunday before last and was hosted by The Curvy Fashionista‘s Marie Denee.
The show gave attendees a chance to see the newest plus size swimwear and summer fashions from independent designers up-close-and-personal for a unique and interactive fashion show experience.
It was a really fun night with fabulous weather and good times meeting up with fellow bloggers like Economy of Style, Finesse Curves, and the Fat Girl of Fashion.
After the show, attendees had the chance to snag the designs right off the runway at a pop-up shop. I got the pewter sheer maxi skirt shown above. I can’t wait to style it and share it on the blog soon!
Speaking of pop-up shops… did you hear the news? ELOQUII’s pop-up shop in Pentagon City is sticking around! As brick-and-mortar stores are closing up shop left and right, ELOQUII is proving that when you use an innovative, customer-driven business model, success is possible. What’s more? It’s proof that the plus size customer is more than happy to spend her dollars on fashion when companies get it right!!!
Shop the fashions you saw here and more at Honey’s Child Boutique. Located on Washington Avenue in St. Louis, stop by if you’re in the neighborhood, or shop on-line at HoneysChildBoutique.com!
