There are a couple fabrics and textures for which I routinely reach every fall. My favorite is probably faux leather, and I am always on the lookout for new cuts and shapes.
This fall, I’m loving the super romantic, feminine take on faux leather. There is something that feels super balanced about mixing sweet ruffles with black leather. It speaks to my own personal aesthetic so eloquently.
I decided to pair the skirt with more faux leather, layering a cropped bustier over a simple knit top. I also layered with a cardigan, but it was unseasonably warm while taking these pics, so I didn’t need it.
I finished the look with too much gold jewelry – in retrospect, I wish I had skipped the bracelet and only worn the necklace OR the earrings. I used to be “more is more” when it comes to jewelry, but I have found myself becoming much more minimalist in recent years.
What’s your favorite fabrics to wear during the fall? Are you more of a jewelry minimalist or maximalist?
