Seen in numerous magazines, on celebrities like Kevin Hart and Ariana Grande, and on TV shows like Empire, today’s indie spotlight is an exciting one!
Mary Collins is the owner and designer of Vauje Jewelry. An independent jewelry designer, Collins is a self-taught and impressively creative. She started out creating pieces to compliment retro and vintage styles and now designs fashion and couture jewelry with an artistic eye.
Her gorgeous necklaces, bracelets, earrings, crowns and more are available in a range of price points to allow almost everyone the opportunity to partake in a little bit of her metal art.
While the jewelry is beautiful and interesting, Collins’ crowns immediately demand attention. Whether for weddings, proms, photo shoots, or simply feeling like royalty, Vauje’s crowns are truly spectactular!!!
I was fortunate to meet with Collins and borrow this lovely crown. I thought that it was only fitting that I wear this crown at an actual castle! Today’s pics were taken at the remains of a castle in Ha Ha Tonka State Park near Camdenton, Missouri. The location was perfect to showcase this gorgeous crown, as well as my ballgown maxi skirt from ELOQUII.
I wanted a look that had a little royal drama to complement the crown, but I also wanted to create an approachable, wearable look that didn’t feel like a costume. Mixed with a simple grey t-shirt, the blush maxi feels a little less formal. The simple pieces allow the sparkly crown to take center stage!
You can shop Vauje’s crowns, body chains, and other jewelry on the web site, or if you’re in L.A., you can shop in store at La Maison De Fashion.
Would you wear a crown? For what occasion?
