Recently, Whitney of St. Louis-based Liv & Kiss reached out to me and asked me to try a piece from her spring line.** Liv & Kiss is an independent, on-line clothing company that caters to women sizes 12 to 36. She carries great basics with a twist that function well for work or weekends!
I was attracted to this blouse because I knew it would be a good work shirt option, especially for an upcoming trial. I thought the print was really pretty, and I loved that it had pops of red and turquoise, one of my all-time favorite color combinations.
What I didn’t realize was that this top wasn’t woven, but that it was actually a jersey knit. I have personally never seen a bow-front blouse in a knit fabric before so I thought that was something kind of special and unique. It also made the blouse fit and drape beautifully and was super comfortable during a long day at the office.
It possibly will be too warm during the summer as St. Louis summers are very humid, but it’s definitely a great option for the rest of the year.
Due to the fact that each piece is custom made according to their sizing guide specifications, items may not be returned or exchanged. That said, customer service is excellent, so if you have any questions at all about sizing or how to measure, Whitney is only an e-mail away!In fact, I e-mailed Whitney about sizing and she gave me some good advice. According to the size chart, I fell somewhere between a 1x and a 2x. I wasn’t sure what size to go with, so I contacted with Whitney for assistance. Based on her feedback, I went with the 2x and am glad I did as I prefer the slightly looser fit of this blouse.
Being an independent designer, the collections are small, but again, there are great pieces to be had. Check out Liv & Kiss for yourself!
