Giving Sweet Thanks

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you who celebrate!  Hope you all had a wonderful holiday, or at the very least, a great Thursday!  🙂
We held Thanksgiving lunch at my house this year, and it was nice to have the family together and hang out for a while. I have a cold or some sort of respiratory virus and wasn’t feeling too well, so it was great to stay home and just chill at home without having to run around!

I am so thankful for time with my family and for some needed time off of work to nurse this bug!  As I mentioned in my last post, my brother moved back home after fifteen years in South Carolina. It has been really nice spending time with him and watching the joy in my kids’ faces as they interact with the world’s best uncle!
I am so thankful for the continued opportunity to share my love of fashion with you! It’s hard to believe that I celebrated my fifth blogiversary this year.  To those of you who have been with me from the start, thank you so much for sticking with me over the years. And for those of you who have recently found my blog, thank you for checking out my site, and I hope to get to know you!
I feel so lucky to have forged relationships with other bloggers and readers over the years. One of my favorite parts about blogging is the community!   I tend to be an introvert, socially awkward, and maybe even a little anti-social at times.  I don’t feel like I usually do well in public group settings. The beauty is that the virtual world of blogging and social media has allowed me to create some truly great connections and very real acquaintances and friends!  When I meet someone with whom I have already conversed online, the ice is already broken!  I always love to hear feedback from readers, to address questions, and to engage in conversations about style or current events! I am also so thankful for the opportunity to work with a variety of great brands and companies and to introduce you to smaller, independent brands on occasion.  In fact, stay tuned for Saturday’s post dedicated to shopping small and shopping local!
What are you thankful for this year?
